
Alexandra Rose Raisman (born May 25 24th, 1994) is a retired American artistic gymnast and two-time Olympian. She was leader of the 2012 "Fierce Five" as well as the"Fierce Five" in 2016 "Final Five," U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics team. She received the gold medal at the team competition at the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas was her teammate and took home gold. Raisman was also awarded silver in the individual all around and for floor exercise. She is the third most accomplished American gymnast in Olympic history, following Shannon Miller and Simone Biles with six Olympic medals.Raisman was also a member of the gold-winning American teams in the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the bronze medalist in the world championships on floor exercise in the year 2011. She was also two-time champion of the national team on floor exercise (2012 and 2015) and the 2012 champion of the national team on balance beam, and a five-time medalist in the all-around event at the national championships (silver in 2016, and bronze in 2011, 2012 and in 2015). In 2013, she was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
